Artist Biography

Jordan was born in a small town in New Mexico in 1986, while his family was on the road for his father's job. Jordan's family moved around quite frequently, until 1996 when he was 9 years old and they moved to Austin, CO.
Home-schooled from kindergarten through middle school, Jordan's Freshman year of high school was his first introduction to anything resembling a public school. Jordan started at the Surface Creek Vision HCP in Cedaredge, which was a state funded alternative school that allowed him to focus on artistic studies in a way that would not have been possible in a public school setting.
Jordan started sculpting with clay in the year 2000; he was thirteen at the time. In 2001, he began entering sculptures in an annual Fine Arts Competition through the First Assemblies of God. The competition included around 100 students competing at State level in the “Visual Art” category (of which only about 10 advanced to the next level) and about 200 competing in the same category at the National competition (of which the top 15 were recognized) every year. In 2001, Jordan's sculpture took 1st place at the State level. In 2002, he won 1st place again at State and placed in the top 15 at Nationals. Then, in 2003 Jordan placed 2nd at State and moved up into the top 6 at the National level. In 2004 and 2005, he placed 1st at State and 3rd at Nationals.
Jordan took his first art classes in 2005; a painting class and a drawing class through Surface Creek Vision. Halfway through the year, he switched the drawing class with a sculpting class. In the Spring & Summer of 2006, Jordan won 1st place at State as well as 1st place at Nationals in the Fine Arts Competition.

Jordan graduated from high school from Surface Creek Vision in May 2006, and began classes at Colorado Mesa University in Fall 2006. He and his wife were married in May 2007 and lived in Grand Junction, CO with their daughter (born August 2008) and their son (born September 2012) when Jordan graduated from Colorado Mesa University in May 2013 with:
                                * Bachelor of Fine Arts - Major: Art, with a concentration in Studio Art
                                * Bachelor of Fine Arts - Major: Art, with a concentration in Art History
                                * Two Years experience in Teacher Education, with a concentration in Art

Jordan's preferred mediums were oil painting, drawing, and bronze casting. However, he had been selling both commissioned and ready-made sculptures, ceramics, paintings, fabrics, and drawings of all different mediums for many years.
In October 2013, Jordan enlisted in the United States Army. He had wanted to join the
military since his late teens, but decided to fulfill his education in Fine Arts first. He joined
the Army as a Multimedia Illustrator, and was enthusiastic about being able to serve his
country, while also adding Graphic Design to his artistic resume.
SPC Adams graduated from AIT at Fort Meade, MD in Fall 2014 with honors. He was
then stationed at Camp Humphreys, South Korea with his family and worked in the Visual
Information Branch for the Post Headquarters. In addition to regular Soldier Tasks, his duties included: poster design, t-shirt design, logo design, and photography. SPC Adams enjoyed his work in South
Korea, and even applied for an extension of his tour there. However, the response he received informed him that he had been nominated by superiors for a job opening at the Pentagon. SPC Adams didn't have to wait long for the Pentagon's decision on his military file and artistic portfolio; they
accepted his nomination quickly, and he was on orders to Washington, DC.
SPC Adams and his family moved to the DC Metro Area in Fall 2016, where he was stationed at the Pentagon. He worked in the Army Multimedia Visual Information Directorate (AMVID), for the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of the Army (OAA), under the Headquarters of the Army. At this time, the Army started to evaluate medical issues that had begun to manifest while he was stationed in South Korea, so he was put on modified duty for regular Soldier Tasks, but was able to continue in all the
artistic areas job. His duties at the Pentagon included: poster design, logo design, challenge coin design, installing designs/displays, Medal of Honor artistic support, Purple Heart artistic support, and
videography/photography for military events. During his time at the Pentagon, SPC Adams received
multiple honors for his work, including:
     * having his design chosen for the new Headquarters of the Army logo
                        * having his design chosen for the 100th Anniversary of his unit
                        * having his design chosen for the 244th Army Birthday Ball
In July 2019, SPC Adams was medically discharged with a 100% VA Disability rating. Walter Reed
Military Hospital diagnosed him with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and
Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis (HOKPP), among other service connected issues and injuries.
After his discharge, Jordan moved with his family to the small fishing village of Charleston, located in
Oregon's Bay Area. There, he is able to enjoy moderate temperatures year-round, which is a necessity
for his neurological disorders. He enjoys the beautiful views, and feels inspired by his surroundings.
Jordan's artistic abilities are one of the few things that hasn't been taken away by his disabilities, and
he looks forward to continuing to create both ready-made and commissioned graphic designs, paintings, drawings, and clay sculptures for you.
